Selected Cities Maximum Temperature Forecast for the Argentina Heatwave

Discussion: Excessive heat has already arrived in Argentina. However, the peak of the heat wave is still ahead. The GFS ENS projects hottest days of the developing heat wave centered on Thursday for Santa Rosa (109F), Friday for Tandil (106F) and near to just-above 105F for Rosario, Parana and Rio Cuerto THU/FRI/SAT (Fig. 1). A cold front arrives and causes thundershowers to form on Sunday as maximum temperatures are cut by about 15F. The maximum temperature continues a descent on Monday as more widespread and heavier rain arrives.
