Climate Impact Company Early AG Market ALERT

Issued: Monday July 13, 2026

Highlight: Europe heat this week, abates next week, but additional heat for late summer.

Fig. 1: The 15-day Europe population weight daily average temperature forecast.

Discussion: The latest Europe 15-day population weight daily average temperature forecast reveals additional hot weather this week, easing to near normal next week, and possible regenerating heat during the following week (Fig. 1). The precipitation outlook using ECM projects cooling rainfall for East-central Europe into Western Russia mostly during the medium range (Fig. 2). Western Europe, particularly France where drought conditions have become intense, miss most of the rainfall.

The latest Climate Impact Company constructed analog forecasts of temperature and precipitation anomalies during August favor hot and dry climate affecting most of Europe (Fig. 3-4). Although still hot, periods of thundershowers are likely in France. A wet bias develops on South-coastal Europe. The hot/dry bias for Western Europe early-to-middle summer shifts eastward in August.

In September, late season anomalous heat is likely across Eastern Europe into Western Russia (Fig. 5) with wet climate across Scandinavia and the remainder of Europe mostly dry as harsh drought continues (Fig. 6).
