Discussion: Torrid dryness across Northeast Argentina continues during early February (Fig. 1). The outlook into early next week maintains the dry pattern (Fig. 2). However, an upper trough approaches from the west causing significant rain in Argentina during the medium range (Fig. 3-4). The forecast trend is wetter. In the 16-30-day and month ahead forecast, AI Graph Cast and ECMWF indicate a wet bias to Central Brazil and at times Northern Argentina (Fig. 5-6).
