Fig. 1: NOAA/CPC U.S. Seasonal Drought Outlook indicates expanding drought (yellow) across the southwest Great Plains to the northeast Great Basin and much of Florida. Drought remains across southern New England but erodes in northern New England. Drought continues in the coastal Mid-Atlantic and Carolina region.
