Discussion: The February 2024 Australia soil moisture anomaly analysis reveals lack of widespread drought typical of an El Nino summer. Dry soils are present across parts of northern and southern portions of Western Australia while wet soils dominate elsewhere (Fig. 1). The outlook indicates persistent late season anomalous heat across Eastern Australia accompanied by a dry pattern (Fig. 2-3) while wet weather including a tropical cyclone risk affect Western Australia.
